Open Passport is a simple authentication service designed to fast-track you and your staff to the FENC site using existing college account details. Once you have logged on to the college intranet or VLE, you won’t need to remember or enter any further details to access your FENC account.jpg)

By making use of existing databases, such as MIS systems and network logon services, Open Passport allows a provider, such as FENC, to check whether or not a user may access its services. As these databases already exist and are maintained by your organisation, there are no additional overheads for you to make use of Open Passport. And unlike other authentication services such as Athens and Shibboleth, no onsite installation is required!
This means you can simply use the same username and password that you use to log in to your network making life so much easier!
